Ultrasound uses sound waves to create pictures of the inside of your body. Horizon offers sonography including 3D/4D. Your referring doctor can use these images to help understand your symptoms or monitor your health.
For an external scan, a small handheld probe is moved over your skin with gel. The area being examined depends on the test your doctor has requested.
Ask the clinic about preparation for your particular ultrasound. Some examinations have instructions about eating, drinking or having a full bladder.

An X-ray uses a small amount of radiation to take pictures of the inside of your body. It is commonly used to examine bones and other structures.
You will be positioned for the area being examined and asked to keep still while the image is taken. The team will explain what to do.
Bring the details of the examination requested. Tell the team before your X-ray if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.

Mammography uses X-rays to examine breast tissue. Your doctor can advise whether a mammogram is appropriate for screening or to investigate a concern.
The breast is positioned on the mammography equipment and compressed briefly while images are taken. The team will guide you through the positioning.
When arranging your visit, ask about any preparation and whether you should bring previous mammograms or reports.

An echocardiogram, often called an echo, is an ultrasound scan of the heart. It helps your doctor see how the heart is working.
For a standard external echo, a probe is moved over your chest with gel to produce moving images of your heart.
Check the type of echo requested and ask the clinic about any preparation. Bring previous heart-test reports if the team asks you to.

FibroScan measures how stiff the liver is. This information helps your doctor assess liver health alongside your history and other tests.
A probe is placed against the skin over the liver area. You may feel a light vibration as measurements are taken.
Ask the clinic for its fasting and preparation instructions before your visit. Follow the instructions provided for your own appointment.

A Doppler examination is a type of ultrasound that evaluates blood flow. It helps your doctor look at the movement of blood through arteries and veins.
A handheld ultrasound probe is used over the area being examined. The scan can show information about the direction and speed of blood flow.
Tell the clinic which Doppler test your doctor has requested. Preparation can differ depending on the area being examined.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound uses sound waves to look at muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and other soft tissues.
For a scan, the radiologist moves a probe over the area with gel and may ask you to move the joint. Horizon also offers ultrasound-guided MSK procedures.
Tell the clinic the body area and whether your referral requests a scan or a procedure. Ask what to bring and how to prepare.

Pathology tests examine samples to help your doctor understand your health. Horizon offers pathology services at its Dhantoli clinic.
Sample collection and reporting depend on the test. The clinic can confirm which tests are available and explain what happens next.
Have the exact test name ready. Ask the clinic about sample collection, preparation and how to receive the results.

Ultrasound can guide a needle to the area your doctor wants to sample. Horizon offers ultrasound-guided FNAC and biopsy.
FNAC uses a thin needle to collect cells or fluid for examination. A biopsy may collect a tissue sample. The clinic will explain the procedure requested for you.
Call with the exact procedure and body area on your referral. Ask for instructions specific to your appointment and tell the team which medicines you take.

Horizon offers X-ray procedures including IVP (intravenous pyelogram) and HSG (hysterosalpingography). These examinations use contrast to show different parts of the body.
IVP examines the kidneys, ureters and bladder. HSG looks at the uterus and fallopian tubes. The clinic can explain how your particular examination is performed.
Call to confirm the examination and get your preparation and timing instructions. Tell the team if you might be pregnant or have had a reaction to contrast.
